In the Dorschberger Hohl nature reserve, up to 15-meter-high loess walls await you, forming an unusual steppe landscape in the middle of Rheinhessen. Rare plants such as feather grass and field eryngo grow on the steep, open flanks, while sand lizards and pipistrelle bats find shelter in the crevices and niches.
