Tips
Neuhirschstein Castle was built between 1892 and 1894 in the Neo-Renaissance style on the remains of a 10th-century castle. During World War II, the castle was confiscated by the SS and used as an art warehouse and prison. During the GDR era, it served as a children's convalescent home and sanatorium.
