Today we used the nice weather again and hiked through the Schanzenbach valley with Elvis.
It started from Leisnig, past the Leithenmühle and fruit plantations, through the Leisnig industrial park and from there we had a glimpse of the Leisnig skyline.
At the exit of the town are the neatly renovated houses in which the Russian officers lived in GDR times. Leisnig was a location of the Soviet Army. The barracks were all torn down.
I followed the tour, unfortunately I don't know from whom.2 days ago

Gradually I have to cover a few more km to be fit for the Sachsen3er.
Took way too many pictures.
From Hartha it went on the nature trail to Diedenhain. Unfortunately, this path is not treated very carefully, the display boards are quite battered. Then it went through Diedenhain and Richzenhain past the Diedenhain Viaduct. We continued on the Waldheimer Höhenwanderweg. Spitzberg, Kreuzfelsen, Breitenberg, Lutherhöhe. There is a summit book there! Registration is mandatory 😉. Then towards the Wachberg Tower. From the Goldene Höhe it went down on serpentines. Then on to the Obermarkt, the Zschopau Bridge, past the old post office and again over steps to the Carolahöhe, Schillerhöhe, Heiligborner Viadukt through the sour grass to the Pfaffenberg and further out of the city. On the bike and footpath to Hartha. At the market I first had to look at the frog fountain.
Past the HarthArena and grammar school and to the car. It feels like I walked at least 1000 steps today.
My GPS saved a few more meters again, but that was the last time today, then there's something new.
But all in all it was a nice tour.7 days ago

It started on the outskirts of Leisnig via Meinitz through Neudörfchen to Minkwitz. From there a path should go to the Apian spring. It went nicely through the fruit growing area to the forest. Right it went towards Eichberg. You could see the Eichgrundweg. I didn't want to go there, so I wanted to go back and then looked for the nonexistent way to the Apian spring.
My dog knew where I was going, so after him and found. Well hidden in a ravine. Lt. Plan there should be a way to Leisnig, several times back and forth and nothing found. So it was getting dark and it started to rain. The way back and along the road to Leisnig at a fast pace. Luckily there is a very nice bike / footpath next to the road.February 27, 2021

Today we went up the stairs next to the hospital to Döbeln Ost with a friend. We were looking for the sundial. After we finally found it, I wanted to try it out, but I didn't go because of the shadow cast by the houses. On to Zschackwitz and the Amselgrund / Amselgrundbach. It was already responsible for several floods on Dresdener Strasse.
But the Amselgrund in Saxon Switzerland is a thousand times more beautiful 😊February 25, 2021

For a long time I have been walking the loop from Tronitz, Kiebitz, Zaschwitz and back to Tronitz. The former route of the narrow-gauge railway Oschatz-Döbeln was partially crossed. Of these, only the Oschatz-Mügeln line is still in operation as the Döllnitzbahn (we have already driven, it's worth it). The route from Mügeln to Döbeln was mainly used for freight and then for the transport of sugar beet. Like the beet train from Döbeln to Lommatzsch.
Otherwise there is only a lot of nature with deer and rabbits and dogs😂.February 24, 2021

The family went this morning from Börtewitz towards Silbersee.
Before that, I looked at the information boards on the petrified lake.
Past the Frieden opencast mine to the motorcross track.
Continue via Querbitzsch to Börtewitz. There is still an old manor in Börtewitz. You can enter the courtyard. The mansion has been beautifully renovated, but cannot be viewed as it is all privately owned.February 22, 2021

After we had lunch and coffee on the terrace at almost 20 °, we went back to nature with Elvis.
