The stream is called Hainbach, a part of the stream flows over the historic forest shower. In summer, the shower is used by some hikers.

Alone the path "down there in the valley" along the creek, worth it. It is very shady, but in warm weather an excellent alternative to the (almost) parallel foot (highway) away. Recommended!

The forest shower in Gleisweiler is built of sand-lime bricks and it is proven to be the only existing plant of this kind in Germany. The water temperature ranges between eight and twelve degrees Celsius.

Today it was too fresh for me to try the shower - on hot summer days definitely cool! In the past, spa guests were taken to showers by coach.
