Can only agree with Kauai. There's a spectacular view over the Rhine plain, delicious Palatinate specialties and all kinds of thirst quenchers.

The castle ruins themselves are the ruins of a hilltop castle from the 11th century.

Rietburg is a must for hikers. From the top you have a great view with refreshment opportunity. A special feature is the lift for older people who can no longer manage the ascent

The food is ok. The prices are good and one of the few places to stop every day.

Served castle ruins with great views down to the Rhine valley. Who does not want to run up the strenuous climb can use the chairlift.

Beautiful terrace with breathtaking views and always pleasant breezes.

"Thanks" of the chairlift is often busy here.
On a nice weekend you will rarely get a table on the terrace of the restaurant.
Above the restaurant on the ruins but you always have the opportunity to enjoy the view.

Very well-preserved old castle with stop and rest stop.
If you want, you can take the chair lift from Edenkoben.

Castle at the end of the cable car with a beautiful view of the surrounding vineyards and the forest! You can see how the villages nestle in the vineyards, a very nice view, on Weyer, Maikammer and Edenkoben.

Restaurant with simple local specialties, from the terrace beautiful view over the Rhine valley to Taunus and Black Forest.

Wonderful view in the Rhine Valley! The cable car is very old and so again a curiosity in itself, but it is well maintained and the staff are very friendly.

One of my favorite hikes here, especially in autumn: take the chairlift, descend to the pond and then collect "Keschde" (sweet chestnuts) on the way back.

With the MTB or hiking - always an experience.

Here on the terrace you have a wonderful view of the valley and there is a service.
For the sick, there is a chair lift up and down again.

Great location. View good, Drink good, Food good, Service good.

The view goes with appropriate weather over the Palatinate Rebenland, the Rhine Valley to the northern Black Forest and is unique.

3 times a year in the summer months there is a lantern ride to the castle, with a big castle festival and live music ... full but great 👍🏼😊

But please no Saumagen in the summer months .... there is only when the temperatures are cool ... a kind of Flieschkäse aös Saumagen is gladly sold to the tourists :)
