rather hidden, although right next to the main station, lies this museum. In front of the museum there is a small green area with some art installations.

The Museum of Contemporary Art houses in its permanent exhibition works of art including Warhol, Rauschenberg, Twombly and Beuys and is one of the most important public collections of contemporary art worldwide. It also offers regular special exhibitions - it is best to take a look at the website. At the end of the visit, a visit to the Sarah Wiener Café Restaurant in the same building is recommended.

The former terminal station was shut down in 1884 after only 38 years of operation. Today it is the only surviving station building from the second half of the 19th century in Berlin. The use of the late classical front building as an exhibition space followed very quickly: in 1904 it housed the Transport and Building Museum. During the Second World War the building was badly damaged and remained unused until 1984. In 1996 it was reopened as a contemporary museum.
