Flyvholm Rescue Station

Denmark's second oldest rescue station from 1847.

Flyvholm Rescue Station is an unmanned exhibition that belongs to the museum in Lemvig. The rescue station houses a small museum. Most of the space takes the lifeboat "Flyvholm". On the walls you will find a lot of information, and hints on how to get on the Internet by means of an app on even more information material.The museum is unmanned. The door can be opened with the help of a numerical code. Ask for a flyer using a telephone number listed on this flyer. However, we did not reach anyone under the number. At the time of our visit, however, a card hung on the door with the numerical code on it so we could open the door. Not right the first time, but eventually succeeded. The next visitor, who tried a few times in vain from outside, then opened the door from the inside. :-)Very nice the silence in the museum, since only sporadic visitors.
