The Harboøre church was demolished in 1909, after which the current, larger one was built.
The large natural stone foundation from the tower is from the old church. The church interior was restored in 1959 and is bright and simply furnished. The Romanesque baptismal font, the altarpieces and the pulpit from around 1600 have been preserved from the old church.
On the south wall there is a plaque over two boat guards that drowned in 1862-1863.
