The Urfttal between Schmidtheim, Blankenheimerdorf and Nettersheim is characterized by a great variety of landscapes and proximity to nature. Here you can find rare species of butterflies and rare birds such as the kingfisher, dipper and gray wagtail.
The Urfttal is certainly one of the most beautiful sections of the 6th stage of the Rhine-Venn Trail.
