The mosque was built of wood and adobe in the late 16th century. The mosque measures seven by seven meters and has 16 windows.
Because it is located in the center of the Džindijska mahala, it is also called Džindijska. Džindijas were skilled horsemen who played an active role in protecting the settlement.
