The Kälbersteig is one of the approaches to the Schachenhaus. From the end of the Partnach gorge, the trail winds well but relatively steeply over many wooden steps upwards.

Hiking boots 🥾 and poles are highly recommended at this point. Kälbersteig are 2h - 2 1 / 2h ↗️⛰ uphill. What is exhausting are the recurring steps with a high step height (approx. 50cm - 60cm)
