Alle Menschen werden die Wahrnehmungen machen, dass man auf hohen Bergen, wo die Luft rein und dünn ist, freier atmet und sich körperlich leichter und geistig heiterer fühlt.“ (Jean-Jacques Rousseau, französisch-schweizerischer Schriftsteller und Philosoph, 1712 – 1778)°One mountain a day keeps the doctor away"
In the summer one of my favorite laps, which you can also do well in the late afternoon. With the Bodenschneidhaus and the upper Firstalm, two great places to stop for refreshments, other highlights are the panoramic Bodenschneid summit and the wonderfully cool Josefstaler waterfalls.

Big loop from Bad Wiessee to the Fockenstein.
The Fockestein is a popular panoramic mountain on the Tegernsee with an all-round panoramic view and is easy to reach. The intersection of the "loop" is the Aueralm, here a stop is of course a "must" on the way back, if only because of the homemade cakes. 😉

An eventful tour around the Hochgern massif.
From the Hochgern car park in Marquartstein, it first went via the Schnappenkirche to the photogenic Staudacher Alm. From there, the tour leads over somewhat muddy meadows and a small path over the Vorderalm and Hinteralm. Continue on beautiful hiking trails, with a lot up and down over the Hochsattel (here you have wonderful views of the surrounding mountains) to the Jochbergalm. The alpine pastures are partially managed in summer (especially the Jochbergalm) and are ideal as a place to take a break or have a snack. From the Jochbergalm it is then unspectacular on forest paths back to Marquartstein.

A scenic circular route between Paul do mar and jardim do mar. The tour is not unjustifiably described as "black" in the Roth hiking guide. Even the stretch of coast between Paul and jardim do mar is very difficult to walk, as you can only walk over partly wobbly and slippery rocks, there is no path here. Then it goes first over stairs then on an adventurous path that screws steeply up the rock face. Once at the top, you hike a good bit above the cliffs on paths to the Hotel Atlantico. The steep descent to Paul do Mar begins below the hotel. The path is better developed than the ascent and offers fantastic views of the sea. Overall, a very worthwhile tour, which can only be recommended in dry weather. 😉
