Shortly before Egloffstein, the path in Trubachtal runs along an irrigation ditch. The path still rewards with a great view in and over the valley.

An irrigation ditch is preserved here, as it has been used for centuries to supply fields and meadows above the Trubach and to increase the yield. A board explains the function.
On another board, hikers are kindly invited to help keep the ditch free.
