  • In 1511 the tower burned down and in 1576 received a new pyramidal helmet. In 1659, the top of the tower and the roof were destroyed in the great city fire, the interior burned out completely, but the vaults were preserved. In 1667, a magnificent baroque spire was built by council carpenter Andreas Henne, which was again damaged in 1712 during the bombardment of the city and destroyed in 1724 as a result of a lightning strike. After that, the tower received today's flat pyramidal roof with a weathervane and the year 1765.
