Hiking

The tower from the inside is a highlight in itself: mighty beams, amazing carpentry work, etc. This is even surpassed by the view. Information about the tower tours is available in the Tourist Information section of the Stader Hafen. However, you have to get along with steep wooden stairs. There are handrails everywhere. It is very feasible. One should also be prepared for a chime on the hour.

The Church of St. Cosmae et Damiani (actually correct Ss. Cosmae et Damiani, since it has two patron saints) is one of the two main Evangelical-Lutheran churches in the Hanseatic city of Stade. In Stade it is usually only called Cosmaekirche or St. Cosmae.
