The building in the northern old town had been the mint master's house since the 14th century. Two centuries later it served as a city prison and torture site, and a new building was built in 1771. Adjacent, the so-called Münztor was built in 1904/05 as a more recent breakthrough in the wall. A stone relief with the city coat of arms is attached to the outside of the city wall. The building was completely renovated in 2019/20.
