One of the oldest trees in Brandenburg is in the Frauensee forest district near Gräbendorf: the royal oak. The sessile oak was around 600 years old. She was already standing here when there was much less forest in the landscape around her. During a storm in autumn 2015, part of the mighty trunk fell to the ground.

Hiking

The family king is probably named after this old oak tree in Dubrow Forest. Despite the harsh loss of a larger tree trunk, a strand thrives and the leaves show beautiful green here. The oak is about 300m away from the main road.
