Baltischer Küstenwanderweg E9 - Von Engure nach Apšuciems
Der Abschnitt war in der 2. Hälfte schon deutlich belebeter. Anfangs gab es noch weitere, leere Strände mit ein paar Vögel, was sich aber im Laufe der Tour immer weiter minimierte.
Hier bin ich nur einen des 20. Abschnitts gewandert, da ich in unbedingt in den Iglu-Zelten in Apšuciems übernachten…

Baltischer Küstenwanderweg - Mērsrags - Engure
Eine wunderschöne Wanderung entlang einer atemberaubenden, unberührten Flora und Fauna. Was ich dort an unzähligen Vögeln unterschiedlichster Art gesehen, hat mich immer wieder staunen lassen. Mein kleines Fernglas war hier Gold wert.
Auch die Sandstrände - menschenleer und verlassen! 11km nicht einen einzigen Menschen.

Baltischer Küstenwanderweg - Kaltene - Upsgriva
Eine anspruchsvolle Wanderung, da die Wege oft zwischen Strand, Wiesen und Wälder wechseln.
Insgesamt muss beachtet werden, dass Kaltene ein sehr ruhiger, verlassenen Ort ist mit nur einem minikleinen Supermarkt (zumindest habe ich nichts weiter gefunden), was das Nahrungs- und Frühstücksangebot sehr einschränkt.

A cute little island only accessible by ferry.
This runs every 20 minutes during the week and every 30 minutes at the weekend (on the half hour and on the hour from the mainland, then directly back).
