In 2011, the city of Tangermünde was able to look back on a
450-year pottery tradition.
Today, street names such as Töpferstiege, Töpfergasse, Töpferpassage still bear witness to this old craft.
Every year on the 3rd weekend in October, Tangermünde is the Mecca for friends of the pottery craft.
Potters and ceramicists from all parts of Germany present their wares at the harbor in front of the historic city wall.
