The explosive funnel barrier was a tank obstacle in World War II.
Each explosive funnel had a diameter of 5 meters and a depth of 3 meters and was difficult or impossible to overcome for tanks at the time.

The explanatory boards for the funnels are very informative. The remaining funnels have been removed again.
The Mundat border also runs along here. In the 7th century the boundary between the diocese of Speyer (cross) and the monastery of Weissenburg (St. Peter and Paul; key) was marked with boundary stones.
