The medieval city wall is still completely intact. Likewise the unusually high number of city gates. The core consists of well-renovated half-timbered houses as well as well-integrated new buildings. Many shops and cafes invite you to stroll and linger. If you like, you can also take a boat tour on the city lake.

Cycling
The city wall, which dates back to the Middle Ages, is Templin's main tourist attraction. The 1,735-meter-long structure was built over the course of around 100 years from field stones from the surrounding terminal moraine landscape (probably from 1314) and has three Gothic city gates, the Berliner Tor, the Mühlentor and the Prenzlauer Tor. With the exception of a few road openings, the defense system is completely preserved and is therefore a particularly valuable historical monument. It can be viewed on two circular routes both from the outside and from the inside.
