Adventurous & exciting climb over ladders, on clamps and partly steel beams, for young and old, especially in winter❄️

The Winterstein, which reaches a height of 390 meters, is often referred to as the "Rear Robber's Castle" because there was a castle there in the Middle Ages. Remains of this complex, such as old beam supports, stairs, a cistern and other relics, are still visible today. From the top of the Winterstein, there is a far-reaching 360° view of the surrounding peaks, including the Teichstein, the Lorenzsteine and the small Winterberg, with the Affenstein in the background. The mountain is easily accessible from Kirnitzschtal/Neumannmühle. There is also a small, free car park near the Gasthaus & Pension Buschmühle.
