A beautiful mountain path through the core zone. At the end is the weaver's grotto.
The path is repeatedly crowned by rock walls on the left and right. Every now and then there are also a few steps to climb.
Around the middle, an inscription reminds of the great forest fire around 1842.

Caution: the path is currently not accessible. There is an acute danger to life due to the large number of dead spruce trees

The Weber gorge begins with several small gorges in the area of the Vorderen Partschenhörner on the German-Czech border. These gorges all come together at the weavers' grotto. All gorges above the weaver's grotto are closed and may no longer be entered.
The weaver grotto is one of the largest rift caves in Saxon Switzerland. On it there is one of the few occurrences of the stem-encompassing nodular foot. The grotto can be reached via the Weberschlueche mountain path. The path is partially developed, which is more than a hiking trail. This expansion still comes from the time when the gorges were used for forestry purposes.
In the middle of the gorge there is a memorial stone "In memory of the Brant 1842" where large parts of the forest between Prebischtor, Großer Winterberg and Großer Zschand burned down. There are two small, natural steep sections along the route. The weaver gorge ends in the Großer Zschand.
Today's mountain path Weberschlueche was a main hiking trail until World War II and enabled hikes from the armory via the Weberschlueche to the Prebistor.
