Tips

The Arnstein is particularly suitable when the front Saxon Switzerland is once again completely crowded. (Weekend, celebration and bridging days) Located in the back Kirnitzschtal, only a few tourists find here. The view from Arnstein is magnificent. and the ascent even for less trained hikers easily possible.

Very beautiful viewpoint and a cave is still there to discover ...
To the cave you have to go through a gap (best backpack set off) and a path on the slope - so nothing for everyone ... (Grab bars are available).

Arnsteinhöhle is great, a bit hidden. Do not go up the first metal steps but continue through the gap and around the corner. Best use GPS

Ruin of the rock castle Ottensdorfer Raubschloss, easy to reach from the restaurant Buschmühle.

This branched climbing system leads over several floors to the lower and upper castle, where also the Arnstein cave can be visited.

The former castle is one of the small ones in the sandstone. The ascent, the small view on the plateau and the grotto are worthwhile.

A little-known rock north of the Kirnitzschtal and thus away from the tourist centers. Even with the best weather during the summer holidays, we were all alone here.
The ascent is considered official and is quite varied with ladders, stone stairs and narrow passages. The lower section is covered over simple wooden steps.
From the rock itself you can enjoy great views and experience a piece of history up close.

View and cave almost next to each other. Two highlights in one fell swoop. To get to the top, you have to make yourself pretty small to crawl through the crevice located under the "To the Cave" sign.
