Sanssouci Palace (French sans souci, without worry ') is located in the eastern part of the Sanssouci Park and is one of the most famous Hohenzollern castles in the Brandenburg state capital of Potsdam. According to his own sketches, the Prussian King Frederick II had a small summer palace built in the style of the Rococo between 1745 and 1747. He commissioned the architect Georg Wenzeslaus von Knobelsdorff with the planning. Under Frederick William IV., The castle was expanded in 1841/42 by rebuilding and extending the two side wings.
