The view of the main avenue and the castle is already beautiful and invites you to explore the whole park and the castle. Especially when the flowers are blooming, it's just amazing.

Bicycles are not permitted in this area of the park. But there is a bike stand nearby. You should also enjoy the view in peace and not drive past quickly.

On some roads bikes are unfortunately spoiled. Prohibition signs point out. Even the carrying - say push the wheel - is not desirable. Too bad. At least that should be accepted.

Sanssouci Palace (French sans souci, without worry ') is located in the eastern part of the Sanssouci Park and is one of the most famous Hohenzollern castles in the Brandenburg state capital of Potsdam. According to his own sketches, the Prussian King Frederick II had a small summer palace built in the style of the Rococo between 1745 and 1747. He commissioned the architect Georg Wenzeslaus von Knobelsdorff with the planning. Under Frederick William IV., The castle was expanded in 1841/42 by rebuilding and extending the two side wings. Based on sketches by the king, Ludwig Persius created the design drawings.More info in Wikipedia:
