Today our Sunday tour to Torgau took us to the restaurant "Herr Käthe", which opened daily from 11:30 am (as of 2019).
A big thank you to RMX for the great tip. Restaurant highly recommended. Food well proportioned, very tasty and at fair local prices. We chose "wrapped chicken" and "sovereign beef". Just delicious. Great praise to the chef / cook. Service very friendly and courteous. 👍👍

The return trip we cycled a bit upstream to Belgern, where we took the ferry back to Brandenburg. Also a big compliment to the ferryman who was waiting for us when he saw us on the ferry entrance, even though he was already driving up the ramp. The ferry price has remained the same. For 2 bikes still 3 €. Class ride in summery temperatures. (Small drawback of the ride: cobwebs, cobwebs and again spider webs 😂)

Today our planned tour took us to Lutherstadt Wittenberg. We bridged the way there by public transport. Since our train was used at the starting station, it was not an issue to park our bikes very well on the train RB51. However, the question arises, how it should work, if you want to bridge with more than 2 people a certain railway line. The closer we got to Wittenberg, the higher the wheel density in the train. Honestly - that's not well thought-out on the rail side. More than three bikes did not turn off in our car. Here has to be improved.
Arriving in Wittenberg we started our way home on the Elbe Cycle Path. She roughly led us back to Elster, Klöden, Prettin, Zwethau and Falkenstruth.
In Elster it was too early to have something to eat. Therefore, it went through tightly to Klöden. The weather god was well disposed to us. The 🌞 was usually hiding behind the ⛅️. Still, it was humid and warm. And the 💨 came on a large part of the track as a very popular helper from "behind" 😃.
Lunch break we made at the castle Klöden - located directly on the Elbe Cycle Route. In the castle courtyard, a beautiful beer garden available, which is very welcome as a pedal knight. In the castle itself, a small restaurant is integrated, in which you can get very delicious home cooking at very fair prices. I had a delicious farmer's breakfast with chanterelles for 10.50 €. There was also a homemade lemonade. The normal farmer's breakfast is available for € 8.50. We really liked it and tasted it. And, which was very nice for the operators, the castle was very well visited !!
And if you are already on the castle, then you should also visit the castle museum in peace. Everything very interesting. Admission is not payable. If you want to, you should throw something in the "donation chest" in the entrance so that it can be used to keep the castle.
After lunch, we continued to the gravel lakes Prettin, where we made a small break. The lakes are unfortunately designated as angling waters. The water was crystal clear, but it smelled a bit fishy.
From the condition of the track, almost everything was present today. With the cat heads were missing. However, we also have to say that the Elbe Cycle Route is very easy to drive. Try it. We liked it a lot.

Today our planned tour led us to Karolinenhof Kremmen. The goat cheese dairy has its own farm shop, where you can buy everything about the goat. Unfortunately, we did not look in advance for the opening times, which is bitterly fair. The motto was "closed" 😕. Now we know that is only open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. 😎 The area is very rural. Suitable are the roads and paths. If we already found asphalt roads, then they were emotionally retreaded for the last time 30 years ago 😃. The body's own shock absorber "Musculus gluteus maximus" had all the jaws full. Of course, there were also excellent bike paths that were built in parallel with the main roads. Except for a few root damage in the asphalt, these were great. Yes and the remaining roads were partially split, natural, paved with construction recycling and, last but not least, we were also delighted with the best concrete slabs / concrete sleepers. The blows are still in our bones. 😃 Small drawback on the tour - little food to find. Without further ado, we have re-planned the tour and are on the way back to Lietzow to Italian - in the hope of something to eat - driven. BUT - also here we had bad luck. Because of illness, there is no hot food until September 30th. So there was only a strawberry and mocha ice cream cup. 😀 On the whole, one was again a very nice tour in the best weather, full of 🌞 and little 💨.

Today our tour took us to Potsdam Sanssouci. Here we wanted to come back, if not a "holiday". And it was really pleasant. Everything was not so crowded and you could drive through the roads in peace. The trip unfortunately started with a construction site that was badly signposted for cyclists. So at the beginning of the tour a small detour. But that has been limited. The paths were all good to drive. From the road condition everything was back. Katzenkopfpflaster (can be great drive - there is every meal prima densely compressed,), dirt roads, forest roads and of course the finest asphalt. The closer we got to Potsdam, the more annoying was the traffic. And to be honest - despite having shared bicycling on the roads - we were glad when we got off those roads. Creepy!! On the return trip were unfortunately some "normal" roads here, which were, however, designated as bike trails. They let themselves be driven, but it is not so tingling when the 40-tonner drive a meter past you. On the whole, a nice tour in the best weather and high temperatures. 🥵

Havelland Tour 5. Visit to the old office where I had to serve 32 years ago. From the buildings is still preserved a lot. The old accommodations are being renovated, or are already renovated. The old canteen did not look inviting at the time, but now it's just scrap metal. 😏 We could not completely explore the terrain. Was a lot fenced. The G-Park is still rudimentary. The old KDL and guard barracks no longer exist. Yes and my beloved shooting range is absolutely unrecognizable. Just the way to the place was still visible. Our service barracks, the "tower" and the training hall have been demolished. Nature has brought everything back completely. It was still nice to explore everything here again. The roads there were all good to drive. From the road condition everything was there. Dirt roads, with gravel paved dirt roads, recycling gravel roads, gruff old asphalt and class smooth asphalt. Much annoying were many "transverse folds" in the asphalt, which were caused by the roots of the trees.
