In Wölmsdorf a memorial stone was erected in 1899 near a mass grave to commemorate the fatalities of the battles of September 1813. The Duke of Anhalt donated the money for the planting of trees and shrubs around the monument with the inscription:
"What this monument tells you, Wand'rer, you want to report it at home, Also on Wölmsdorf fields here, victorious German heroes
