Also in the Dennewitzer neighboring village Niedergörsdorf found on 6 September 1813 heavy fighting instead. At the cemetery wall, a memorial stone from 1904 testifies that the church was the only safe place in the village where the inhabitants could find shelter. At the inauguration ceremony, Prince Frederick Henry of Prussia was also present with his 1st Brandenburg Dragoon Regiment. The following words are engraved on the sandstone slab: "Protection was once offered to our fathers in impending war, Sept. 6, 1813 2-3 o'clock In memory, this time the friendly hand donated".
