The Brockdorff Palace was built in 1631/32 for the Imperial Count Christian von Pentz. In 1802 it came into the possession of Chancellor von Brockdorff, who was thus the namesake. Today the building houses the city archives and the Detlefsen Museum, which gives a comprehensive picture of the history of Glückstadt and the region, especially of Danish rule.
Opening times: Tuesday to Sunday 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. (January and February: Thursday, Saturday and Sunday 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.), admission adults 4.00 euros
