The water lily pond features a kinetic water feature, the Bürgerbrunnen (Citizens' Fountain), designed as a funnel fountain. The funnels, which constantly fill and drain, are the water mobile of Regensburg artist and painter Jörg Schemmann. His motifs also include water lilies, but from an unusual perspective: Schemmann paints them from below, from the perspective of the goldfish.
