Although the Upper Mill is first mentioned in the land register in 1495, it likely existed generations earlier. Aidlingen was a true mill village: all five mills are listed in 1495.

The Obere Mühle is currently being restored. The Aid still flows through the garden with the miniature mill. In the past, garden gnomes were also placed around the small mill.
It was the eye-catcher in Aidlingen in the 60s.
