Perched high on a cliff, with wild sea winds blowing, it is easy to see why the spooky remains of Whitby Abbey were inspiration for Bram Stoker's 'Dracula'. These days, the magnificent seventh-century monastery are a must-see when visiting Whitby. There is an entry charge.
