The Church of St. Francis in Tavira (Igreja de São Francisco) is a historic church dating back to the 13th century and once part of a Franciscan monastery. Although it has been damaged several times by earthquakes and fire, Gothic elements such as chapels and the sacristy remain. The church combines Gothic and Baroque styles and is located near Tavira's municipal garden.
