When the museum was founded in 1979, the board of Ons Klein-Brabants Boerenerf (Our Little Brabant Farm) chose to house old agricultural equipment and household goods from the region. Preserving them within their own context, protecting them from further decay, and exhibiting them for visitors remains the goal.
With the annual Havesdonckhoeve festivities, held every Sunday after August 15th, festivities are organized at the Havesdonckhoeve that evoke the rural past.
