Tips
The pavilion is located in the Hyangwonji Pond in the northern garden of Gyeongbokgung. This area was used by Queen Myeongseong, the wife of King Gojong (r. 1863–1907), among others. It was here that the Eulmi Incident occurred, in which the queen was brutally murdered by Japanese assassins.
