A total of four castles stood one after the other on the local hill. Two of them, to confuse us later generations, had the same name.
Thus, there are two Kirchberg Castles. The one we are more familiar with is the castle we call the Fuchsturm (Fox Tower). However, this was probably the actual royal palace. See photo.
