"The historic building of the Badischer Hof was built in 1698 and was formerly the office, the office and residence of the lordly official in Ettlingen. The historic Madonna figure on the corner of the building is intended to serve as a protective figure. In 1784, the office building finally became the Badischer Hof. This was once popularly known as "the Schlabbe" because it was possible to drink a glass of beer or wine in slippers."
