The Rue Mercière ("Merchant Street") is a medieval street in downtown Strasbourg lined with solid half-timbered houses. It is about 76 m long and connects the Rue du Vieux-Marchè-aux-Poissons with the Place de la Cathédrale, which surrounds the Strasbourg Cathedral. The street is a popular vantage point from which you can take photos of the cathedral. The pedestrian zone of the Rue Merciere provides an impressive view of the front of the Cathédrale Notre Dame de Strasbourg.
