“The Seated Woman” rests upright on a exposed concrete block, her arms in her lap and looking far into the distance; a bronze figure around 3 m high, designed by Lothar Fischer from Munich. The work of art, created in 1980 at the western end of the pedestrian zone on Pirmasenser Strasse, was donated by Mechel Elemente GmbH, a company belonging to the Streif Group, on the occasion of its 50th company anniversary.
