The giant hop endolde is station 5 of the geological and pleasure trail "From beer to bratwurst", which was opened in 2012 and is halfway between the "giant spoon", a wayside shrine and the highest point of the so-called vineyard.
From this point there is a beautiful view of Arnstadt as far as the Alteburg and over to the Pfennigsberg.
