The Böhlersloch is a legendary cave near Arnstadt.
The Böhlerhöhle consists of three flushed caves / "kettles" that are connected to each other. In the book "Legends, Fables and Romantic Stories from the Central Thuringian Forest and its Foreland" it says under the heading: <The little elves of the Jonastal valley help a poor widow in the harvest>. "... The Böhlersloch is a karst cave that was created in connection with the formation of the valley in the Pleistocene.
The reference to dwarfs does not seem unjustified, the entrance tunnel is very shallow and can only be crossed by crawling.
