After arriving at our weekend home, the Karl-Stein-Hütte, we used the afternoon for a little round of exploration. Special interest was the Rahmhanke, a very narrow path in the middle of the steep wall on the Elbe-side Bastei massif.
Since our squad is free from giddiness and sure-footed, we were able to enjoy the views in the steep wall down to the Elbe. In the last third, however, we arrived at a passage that was too difficult for us without security. Reversing was the better option in this case.

I'm excited! A tour that I'll definitely go back in one way or another.
In the valley of Gelmke on almost the entire arch between Kaiserweg and Brautsteinweg no GPS reception. Komoot then let me hover instead of about 2 km walk just 600m as the crow flies over the valley and of course the missing km embezzled.
The originally planned tour was 21 km. On the way I extended the route to the Rammelsberg and 2,5km before the finish I looked from the Okertaler Klippenblick over to the Halleschen hut with its ascent. He called something like "Take me!" And his legs were still good. :-)
Well, the rest is quickly told. At the end it was then 30.4km on the clock.

Demanding 3-summit tour that evolved only on the way to what eventually came out of it. At the beginning only the starting point Oderbrück and the 3 peaks Achtermann, Wurmberg and Brocken were fixed. Until the Wurmberg the route was quickly in the head. Everything else was then adapted and expanded again and again.
Shortly before Schierke the decision was made not to take the direct route via the Eckerloch to the Brocken Peak, but to round it about the Old Bobsleigh Track, Yellow Brink, Stamp Book and Rangarstation Scharfenstein, then to have a worthy final climb up to the plateau with the Hirtenstieg , I have regretted it several times on these steep 4 km up, but finally bit up.
The nice thing is, upstairs everything is quickly forgotten and I'll do it again next time. :-)
