The viewpoint offers a fantastic view along the east side of La Palma with its green slopes and scattered settlements. On a clear day you can see the capital Santa Cruz to the north. To the south is the municipality of Villa de Mazo. The volcanic hills of the Cumbre Vieja tower towards the west.

Tip: below the vantage point there is a beautifully landscaped barbecue area for a rest.

The Monte de Breña mountain is an old volcanic crater in the east of the island of La Palma with a height of 565 meters. On the summit is the La Breña viewpoint, which offers a beautiful view of the Valle de las Breñas and part of the municipality of Mazo. If the sky is clear, you can also see the peak of the Teide and the island of La Gomera with its famous cliffs. The place has been decorated with a sculpture called the "Cruz del Milenio" (Cross of the Millennium).

It offers great views both inland and towards Santa Cruz. You might get lucky and see a plane land or take-off. There are some benches to rest weary legs.
