The spring is contained in a simple brick well chamber in which the water is dammed. The cell phone lamp allows a look inside and reveals a view of the chamber and water basin. From here the spring water was led with a slight gradient along the mountain over a distance of approx. 1.2 km to the Tannenburg. The route corresponds to today's hiking trail X5H.
