    Tips

If you want to find water at the karst spring and in the Renda Valley Graben, you should come here when it rains. The spring only supplies water after heavy or heavy rainfall.

Otherwise it is mostly dry, as is the stream bed of the Rendatalgraben.

The premium hiking trail P20 leads past the karst features of the Renda Valley. The two most impressive are the gnome holes in Ulfen and the dry valley in Rendagraben.

Karst develops in humid to semi-arid areas that are made up of hard, carbonic acid-corrodible mass rocks with high contents of calcium carbonate (CaCO3), such as limestone.

Here you can get a good explanation of the formation of the rock layers present here using an information board.
