The name Pochmühle belongs to a mill that stood on the site of the Richelsdorfer Hütte, across the street. A stamping mill was operated there until around 1900, which crushed the copper slate that was mined around Nentershausen and Iba, hence the former name "Kupferhütte".
The current residential building was seriously damaged by a fire in November 2020, but has since been restored and restored to its original appearance.
It should be noted that the residential complex is privately owned (Trott zu Solz) and entry is not permitted.
