To the left of the entrance to the Beguinage is the Walloon Church. This intimate church was built as a Wendelinus Chapel on behalf of Johanna van Polanen. After the Beguinage moved, the Wendelinus Chapel became the church for the Beguines. Later the church was transferred to the Walloon community. The officers and cadets had their own benches here. The father of the poet Jacques Perk was a Walloon pastor here from 1868 to 1872. Today the church is used for exhibitions, concerts and receptions.
