Breda's town hall actually consists of four houses that architect Philips Willem Schonck hid behind one facade in 1767. The oldest part is the large hall. As early as the fifteenth century, a so-called 'Cleyn raedthuys' was also put into use. The rightmost house, the 'Lying Hert' was added last.
The main entrance to the town hall above the steps is guarded by two sandstone lions. Lady Justice above the main entrance indicates that justice was also administered here in the past.
