If I'm in Münster for several days, I eat there at least once. Nice atmosphere and you get to know a lot of people there. Is the Westphalian version of the breweries in the Rhineland.

The “Großer Kiepenkerl Gasthaus” is one of the most popular restaurants in the city. Unlike some traditional houses, it doesn’t necessarily look “quaint” here. It's more of a classic, middle-class restaurant with good service. The owners, who also own several delicatessen addresses in Münster, attach great importance to “regionalism, animal welfare, sustainability and hospitality” and even have a children's menu.
