The ring wall is dated to the Early La Tène period (around 400 BC). The La Tène culture has been the bearer of the culture since the 5th century BC. BC in Greek, later also mentioned in Roman sources, Celts.
The circular wall encloses the summit of the Altkönig. It consists of a double wall of approximately oval shape. There is an annex in the southwest that secures a spring that still flows today. The facility covers an area of 26 hectares, with 11 hectares being the annex. The ramparts made of Taunus quartzite are 950 m (inner ring) and 1390 m (outer ring) long and are spaced between 50 m and 80 m apart. See Wikipedia.
